Informational analytic system of management "IASM" is built on base of Hyperion Planning System 9. The Planning is focused on web-technologies, multilevel application that allows to use functions of Analytic Services effectively. There are three separate logic levels in configuration of Planning: the level of database, the level of applications' servers/web-servers(also called medium level) and client level.


  • The level of database contains servers of database, relational database and database of Analytic Services. The level of database includes the next components: 
    • Analytic Services
    • The server of relational database (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • The level of applications' servers/web-servers, or medium level contains Planning server on base of Windows system, web-server  and server of web-applications. Provide for scalability  on additional equipments it can be creates additional servers. The level of applications' servers/web-servers includes the next components:
    • Server of Planning on base Windows
    • Server of Java application of Planning
    • Server of Java application of Hyperion System 9 BI+ Analytic Administration Services
  • The client level includes administrator's client and web-client, who addressed to client level. The client level is used for data input, processing management by meta data users and security, start of business rules, copy of versions, forms designing and implements of other administrative tasks. The client level includes the next components:
    • Windows client of Planning
    • Web-client of Planning
    • Client of Smart View


Planning has architecture with common web-clients, that needs only supported browser on client computer for primary users. The processing is not performed on work station of client. The applications' server of medium level satisfies the standard  J2EE and supports wide spreading servers of Java applications, for ex. WebLogic, WebSphere and Tomcat, because actually  medium level is the application's level and data is not stored on it, scalability and availability are significantly increased. Real data is stored and settled with the help of Analytic Services on the database level, as well warehouses of relational database, intended for storage of applications' frame, meta data and text data.


Planning Web Client

Planning provides full capacity of functions for web-user, including data reporting and analysis, management by processing and form's structure. In addition, almost all administrative functions are available via Internet. Planning offers application of web-interface, that allows companies to develop application quickly for organizations with distributed planning, without installation of software on client computers. For users of web-interface all software is in the server. Based on high performance and scalable architecture the Planning reduces total cost of domain and simplify the process of scanning for majority of users, who have access to application anytime, anywhere.


Business Rules  

Hyperion System 9 Business Rules is base component of Planning, that is set automatically with Analytic Administration Services(AAS). Business Rules provides integrated support for planning's demands of global financial organizations. Business Rules is graphic instrument, that helps users at creation, management, tuning, documentation and carrying out of difficult estimations and business models. It can be used in many analytic applications, for example: profitability of product and client, budgeting and planning, financial management, also management of contacts with clients. The users of Planning can use Business Rules, in order to create, start, change and organize processes of distributions and business rules. The users choose and start methods of distributions at the planning, create new data and analyze results.


Analytic Services (OLAP- Server of Essbase)

The Planning operates above Hyperion System 9 BI+ Analytic Services and use its powerful possibilities of analysis and estimation, security's filters, API, embedded functions of financial analysis, estimation and support of multidimensional cubes' applications. The Planning uses OLAP technologies and data warehouse through implementation of analysis's powerful possibilities, widen by scalability and functions of data management in specialized application of planning. The Planning saves the definition of application in relational database and then uses this information for creation of necessary database of Analytic Services and privileges of security for application.


Hyperion Essbase is- analytic platform, that integrates data from many sources and supports all around selection of special tools, that helps analytics, researchers and programmers of analytic applications.



Operation algorithm is next:

  1. Getting of data as flat table or implementation's result of SQL request.
  2. Cashing of data and their changeover towards multidimensional cube.
  3. Portraying of constructed cube with the help of crosstab or diagram and so on.  In general, spontaneous amount of portraying can be connected to one cube.


Shared Services

Shared services provides integration of products for operation of the next functions:

  • Providing of users' security
  • Definition of external authentication
  • Synchronization of meta data
  • Synchronization of data
  • Management of assignments' flows


License Server

Hyperion uses general server of license. Hyperion License Server allows to use entire and similar method of user's control of Hyperion products. The server uses license file, developed for yours enterprise, for monitoring of the next type of information:

  • Purchased products 
  • options of functions 
  • the number of users who have access to each product 
  • expiration dates of license agreement and agreements of maintenance


Hyperion License Server uses component of third party for supply of single administrative tool for management by license on software. Whereas Hyperion License Server represents the process, but not physical server, it doesn't require installation on specialized computer. The product can be installed on shared computer, simplifying the installation in environment, which provides more effective use of resources.






Function of  IASM

Function of IASM – getting's  automation of analytic and reference data according to activities and making a decision of government department of Zhambyl oblast. IASM is suitable for cohesion and storage as unit previously processed information from existed database of Zhambyl oblast government department and automation of analysis reports' creation  for on-line monitoring and making decision by administration of government department of Zhambyl oblast.


Creation's purposes of IASM

Functions' fulfillment provides component:

  • Refusal's control due to data's absence.

Functions of components is carried out in automatic mode according to schedule is set by IASM's administrator. Moreover, ad-hoc data base load will anticipate the component.
